Manie Li

Administrative Executive

  • EDUCATION

I've completed a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University, majoring in Chinese Studies.

  • PROFESSIONAL LIFE

I’ve worked in retail and customer service for several years and took on some internships in an administrative role in legal settings.

During my time at Monash University, I also volunteered at AIESEC, the largest youth-led organisation in the world. As a Business Development Officer, I helped provide leadership developmental opportunities through global internships and team experiences to people from all over the globe by partnering with thousands of companies and groups.

After graduating from university, I accepted a position at Crown Casino as a Table Games Dealer, where I worked in a near-constant high-pressure environment. While there were great expectations of us, it was genuinely an exciting and refreshing job as there was so much to learn, and we interacted with a range of diverse clientele and coworkers regularly. Unfortunately, due to the Covid lockdown, we were stood down and unable to work for several months.

It was during the lockdown that I was fortunate enough to find a role at Maison Chen Law Group in a receptionist position, and I am now loving my job here as an Administrative Executive. Living in such a multicultural country truly allows one to appreciate and understand the value of having global citizens who continuously share elements of their own cultures and languages, and it’s been rewarding being involved in the migration process.

  • Hobbies

I enjoy journalling and creative writing, video games, finding new songs and music, and rewatching my favourite shows instead of committing to new ones.

  • Languages

  • What Motivates you?

Growing up in Australia as a child of migrant parents, all throughout my life I’ve been seeing and listening to stories about people’s aspirations to migrate for further prospects to improve their lives. My parents have continuously worked incredibly hard to afford our family the opportunities they did not have when they were younger, and I am truly thankful for their dedication and love.

Knowing there will always be people out there who seek new experiences and better opportunities for themselves and their loved ones, I am appreciative to be part of a team that can sincerely guide and assist them on their journeys. We’re all very excited to see how far Traci will take all of us.
