Since the opening of the 2022–23 Skilled Migration Program for Victoria (VIC) on 11 August 2022, there have been two rounds of Registration of Interest (ROI) selections as at 30 September 2022. We explore below how many ROIs have been selectedand nominated for the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) visas!
Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) Visa Figures
VIC has 9,000 interim places allocated to it for the 190 visa. As at 31 August 2022, 14,202 ROIs have been received for the 2022–23 Program and 377 applicants have been nominated to apply for the 190 visa (i.e. ROI selected then nomination approved). Here are the statistics:
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (Subclass 491) Visa Figures
The 491 visa is great for skilled workers seeking to gain further industry experience in regional Victoria as it provides a pathway to permanent residency through the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) (subclass 191) visa.
VIC has 2,400 interim places allocated to it for the 491 visa. As at 31 August 2022, 4,734 ROIs have been received for the 2022–23 Program and 35 applicants have been nominated to apply for the 190 visa (i.e. ROI selected then nomination approved). Here are the numbers:
